Since launching her own shoe line in 2003, Chie Mihara has quickly become a shop favorite.
She was born in Japan, and studied fashion there before moving to New York. In 1995 she moved to Spain to design for Charles Jourdan Bis. There, Mihara began producing her own line with her husband/factory owner in Elda.
Mihara describes her design style as “feminine and naïve.” She says she isn’t fond of metal ornaments on shoes, preferring to create her own ornaments out of soft leathers. Every shoe features an anatomic footbed, which makes even her high heels shockingly comfortable.
